The number of cars in the world is increasing day by day, and with it the use of fuel oil is also increasing. This is causing various problems including environmental pollution. And to deal with these problems, the German carmaker Audi is bringing ethanol diesel or ‘e-diesel’, which will help reduce the pressure on conventional fuels. This diesel is also known as synthetic fuel. The news of making e-diesel was reported by the British media Wired.
This new fuel is being made at the Audi plant in Saxony, Germany. Hydrogen is first separated from water to make this new fuel. This environmentally friendly fuel is then made with a combination of carbon dioxide.
It will be possible to supply this gas from conventional gas stations just like normal gas. Similarly, ethanol fuel is being produced at other Audi plants. Audi will launch several new cars later this year.
Initially, Audi officials hinted that the vehicles would be capable of using at least 400 kilometers of road using the e-diesel.
In addition, Audi is thinking of starting full-fledged production of e-diesel vehicles by 2025, the report said. They also have plans to build electric cars.
